Altered Clipboards

Last year for Christmas I made these altered clipboards for my best friend and my sister-in-law. I love how they turned out!  I saw the paper again at Hobby Lobby the other day, so I think I may make one for myself this year!
I had so much fun making these last year that I […]

Christmas Cards

This is the Christmas card that I made to add to the silent auction basket at school.  I made 10 of them with matching envelopes.

This is the inside of the card. These were super easy and fast to make. Which was a good thing, because I waited until the last minute to make […]

Christmas notbook

For our school’s fall carnival a few weeks ago, I made some Christmas items to add to a basket for the silent auction.  I covered a steno pad with card stock to make a cute little notebook.  These really don’t take that long to make- especially when I read the directions!   But like normal, […]

Sneaky Vegetables

My kids are like most kids and that they don’t like to eat a wide variety of veggies.  So I’m getting pretty good at sneaky some into the foods they normally eat.  Right now my favorite to add is sauteed onions, garlic, and eggplant.  I add it to anything with a tomato based […]

Chicken Crunch

This is another good pantry meal.  I normally have everything on hand to make it!  Which is so nice because I can’t seem to get this menu planning business down!  But that’s another story…
2 chicken breasts, cooked and cut up into bit sized pieces

1 tsp Italian seasoning
1Tbsp minced garlic  (I think everything is better with […]

Science Fair Projects

It’s science fair time around here. Last year my son was the grand champion of the 2nd and 3rd grade at his school, so he’s under some pressure! But I tell him to just have fun with it!
This year he is testing the growth of lima bean seeds in contaminated soil. He […]

Freezing Layered Casseroles

I really like to double the recipe when I’m making casseroles. Or sometimes I make a single recipe of a casserole that makes a 9×13 and place it in 2 8×8 pans. Then we have one for that night and another one for a later date. When it’s something like Chicken Spaghetti, […]

Baked Ziti

This is a great recipe to double and freeze one for a later date.

2 (26) jars marinara sauce
1 1/2 tsp dried basil divided
1 small onion chopped
1 cup chopped eggplant (the kids don’t even know it’s there!)
12 oz ricotta […]

Slow Cooker Thursdays

My house is starting to smell good this morning! At this very moment, I have a pork roast with potatoes in the crock pot. I got the recipe from $5 Dinners and so far, the recipes I’ve tried from her have been great! Her recipe is below (and make note at the […]
