Happy Easter

The girls and I had fun this afternoon making these cute little Easter bunnies! We found the idea from Family Fun; there is always a great craft on that site that is suitable for the little ones to help with.

Easter Decorations

I’ve had these tucked away all year and now that Easter is almost here, I’m finally pulling out some decorations. Originally, this craft started out as an activity for my daughter’s brownie troop, but once we saw how great they turned out, Christine, Jami and I made some of our own. Our inspiration […]

How To Make A Candy Bouquet

I saw these for sale at the store and told Christine we ought to try making them instead. Our kids gave them to their teachers for Valentine’s Day. Here’s how we did it:
Christine had a bunch of flower picks from a previous candy bouquet her family received. Thankfully, she saved them and […]

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Christine and I made the super cute candy bouquets for our kids teachers. I can’t tell you how many compliments we received just from getting them into the school and down to the classrooms! They were a hit.

We’ll add a quick tutorial, as these would also be cute for Easter or […]

Valentine Suckers

For Valentine’s Day last year I made lollipop covers for my daughter’s preschool class.  A very inexpensive way to “dress up” a treat.

Valentine Flower Pots

Last year for teacher gifts on Valentine’s Day, I made these cute little flower pots.  Each scalloped  flower is made of a peppermint pattie stuck on a bamboo skewer.  I punched out two scalloped circles and taped them to each side of the candy.  I added a stamped image to the front of the flower.  […]

A few weeks ago our Brownie troop went to a nursing home and sang Christmas carols.  I wanted the girls to be able to pass out something to some of the residents.  So I made 20 of these cute Christmas ornaments.  I think the residents really liked them.

Reindeer Food

For my youngest daughter’s class this week, I made reindeer food for their goodie bags.  (The secret ingredients are oatmeal and colored sprinkles.)   The cute little poem says…
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright.
As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam,
This will guide them to your home.
Merry Christmas!

Gift Card Holder

Tonight my daughter and I are going to a Christmas party.  We each have to bring a gift card worth $5.  To make our gift cards a little bit more festive, I made one of these gift card holders.  They are super quick and easy to personalize for any holiday or special occasion.

Yummy Santa Craft for Kids

I found this adorable craft and wanted to make it as a little treat for the girls in both the brownie and daisy troops.  I wasn’t as impressed with my work, so opted to let the girls do this as an activity.  They loved it!
First, we put icing on a graham cracker.  I mixed white […]
