Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

I’m fully aware that there are 100s of pot roast crock pot recipes floating around. We’re going to try a new one here tonight. This is the Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast.

They claim this recipe will taste like you’ve been cooking all day (hmm….which the slow cooker will be) and it makes its own gravy. Perfect-o!

What you need:
* 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
* 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
* 1 1/4 cups water
* 5 1/2 pounds pot roast

What you do:
* In a slow cooker, mix cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water. Place pot roast in slow cooker and coat with soup mixture.
* Cook on High setting for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low setting for 8 to 9 hours.

Not in the mood for pot roast? Maybe you’ll find something else at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. She has a recipe up for smashed potato soup….sounds yummy!
