Halloween Costume

Last year, my oldest daughter was trying to come up with a clever Halloween costume idea. After a lot of brainstorming, we finally settled on Pippi Longstocking.

That’s the monkey, Sir Nelson, around her neck! We used a wire clothes hanger to make her braids stick out and of course, a LOT of orange hair spray coloring.

She wore this costume to a youth event at the church and I have to tell you, the kids didn’t recognize who she was dressed up as. They thought she was “Wendy” from the fast food chain. The adults quickly recognized the costume as being Pippi. We still need to chose a costume for her this year.
