Fabric Covered Bulletin Boards

I made this fabric covered bulletin board for my daughter when we redecorated her room a few months ago. It was super easy and really fun to make. I cut a piece of foam board to the size I wanted. Added some quilt backing to the front. And covered the front with fabric; hot gluing it to the back of the foam board. I then crisscrossed a ribbon on the front and hot glued the ends on the back. At the spot of each ribbon crossing, I added a drop of hot glue to the back of each- gluing the bottom ribbon to the fabric and the top ribbon to the bottom one. I then hot glued a button to the top ribbon at each crossing. I attached this to the wall with 3M command strips.

I made this one a few years ago when my youngest daughter was born.

  1. So very cute! I love the striped one. It would be perfect for my oldest daughter. I think a trip to the craft store is in order. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love the fabric covered bulletin boards. They make a great gift for teens who are very difficult to find homemade crafts for! And easily decorated for a boy too!!!!
