Cherry Cobbler in the Crock Pot
Crock Pot Cherry Cobbler
Ingredients:
2 21-oz cans cherry pie filling
18 1/4 oz pkg. yellow cake mix, dry
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Pour pie filling into 5 qt crock pot; spread evenly
In a large bowl, combine dry cake mix with butter until it is crumbly; sprinkle over pie filling. Sprinkle with nuts
Turn on crock pot to low; cover and cook 3-4 hours. Serve warm.
This is a delicious recipe. One day we were asked to bring a crock pot dish to the teacher’s lounge. I should have buckled the crock pot in, but instead I set it on the floorboard. That was a mistake. After the first turn, it fell over. Luckily, most of the mess landed on the floor mat so that was easy to clean up. I went back home and took what was left - in the crock pot, not on the floor - and cried and ate it. I was devastated at the moment, but looking back now, it’s a funny memory.

This sounds delicious! I’ve been leery of trying a dessert in the crock pot but I’m definitely going to have to try this one.
Funny story, too!

THIS RECIPE SOUNDS GREAT—I will definitely try it.
As for the crockpot disaster…this has happened to me too, with a pot roast I was taking to my inlaws last year.
