Decorate A Denim Bag
I found this idea at Hobby Lobby to decorate a bag. I thought it was so cute and that it’d be perfect for the girls in our brownie troop to hold their items. Due to price per bag, I opted to go with a different shaped bag, which meant some modifications were in order.
I attempted to follow the instructions and use an awl. Well, that didn’t work. The denim was quite forgiving of the hole I attempted to create. The idea was for the girls to stick the ribbon through themselves! So I took the bags to Christine’s house and she had the best idea….we used her crop-o-dile. If you don’t have one of these, I’ve got to tell you, it’s the neatest tool. They’re about $35, but if you use your 40%-50% coupon at Michaels, it’s a great deal.
Check out these holes…
Christine punched the holes, I pre-cut the ribbon and at our meeting, the girls were able to pull the ribbon through and tie knots.
The final product turned out great. Now we just need to add their names, maybe with some glitter glue.
