Brief Update

It was not my intention to take a blog break, but apparently that’s what it turned out to be. I seriously thought the kids starting school was going to be the start of these incredibly productive days for me. However, the past three weeks have turned into a big stressful blur between Kristen learning the ropes at high school, Madison and third grade girl drama…(yes, there is such a thing) and Morgan slowly adjusting to kindergarten. Surely next week will prove to be different.

If I haven’t mentioned it before, I’ve taken on coordinating the carnival at our school. As we come up with ideas, I’ll post them, as I’m sure many of you get involved at your kid’s schools.

At our first Brownie meeting, we gave some denim bags a cute look with ribbon. There’s a new program this year for each grade level, which will require the girls to all have a book to hang onto. Our’s is called The Brownie Quest. We’re also having each girl make their own scrapbooks this year, so the bags will be a great place to store these items. You’ll have to check them out, because they really did turn out cute.

I read a blog post by Scribbit today that I found fascinating and it reminded me of how thankful I am to live in the United States!

Oh, remember the fish pedicures? They actually talked about this on the radio the other morning! You can listen to it here, just scroll down to where it says “New Spa Treatment: Carp (yes, the fish) Pedicures”. Apparently it’s $35 to have fish nibble on your feet for 15 minutes. This still grosses me out.

This is totally unrelated, but while you’re on that page, you’ve got to watch Tillman Riding His Skateboard. Tillman is a DOG. A very talented dog.

  1. You have GOT to be kidding! Who would think up such a thing let alone do it? I have a hard time swimming in the ocean because of bumping into fish so I think I’d have to pass.

  2. I know what you mean about life and how quickly everything is going - blogging for me has definitely taken a back seat…thank goodness for advanced posting so I can write in spurts, haha!
