Sit Upons
August 28th, 2008 • Related • Filed Under
Sit Upons are a Girl Scout tradition. They’re typically made out of a plastic table cloth, but one of my friends found this site, Making Friends, that has instructions to make a denim sit upon. Now that’s more my style! We cheated and used duct tape instead of sewing! They’ve held up well, though we haven’t used them much. The bandana is a nice addition to the sit upon and it makes for a great way for the girls to carry their own sit upon. We also added cute flower patches with hot glue and the denim has plenty of space to hold extra “fun” patches.

Check out http://www.makingfriends.com/situpon.htm to get their directions. We did fill ours with plastic grocery bags instead of the polyfil, that way we didn’t have to worry about the polyfil getting wet or nasty.
