We have a new addition to our family.  Yesterday we adopted a rescued chocolate Labrador retriever named Katy, aka Katerbug.   We’ve been talking about getting a dog for a little while.   I actually thought we were still in the “talking phase”.   But my husband started looking up rescued dogs on the Internet.  The moment we saw Katy’s picture and read her profile, we were hooked.  She has a wonderful temperament and is very gentle.  I was worried that her first night with us might be rough and she might cry and whine.  However she didn’t make a sound except for some deep snoring, which I’m very used to!!

My kiddos all adore her and are constantly trying to get her attention.  They’re also fighting to see who gets to hold the leash.  I can’t wait to see if they fight to see who gets to clean up any accidents!!  My three year old keeps forgetting her name and calling her Casey or just puppy.  And she doesn’t like it when Katy gets too close to her Barbies.  I just wish she didn’t make such a mess drinking!  But all in all I think she’s a keeper.
