Home Again, Home Again

It is that time of year again….time to go home. This year I have come back home for two weeks. “Crazy” you say? YES! It has been one week and I am counting down the days until we had back to our home. I love my family, but there is such a thing as too much togetherness and it’s not always a good thing!

I will say though that coming back home to see all of my friends has been the best part. I went out with my best friend since the seventh grade and it was like being in high school again. From the minute I got in the car, I was 16 all over again. Until the next morning…I felt every bit of 39 when I woke up. It was so worth it though. I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun. I can’t think of any better medicine than spending time with your girlfriends! Who else can you act that crazy and immature with? We rolled the windows down and cranked up the music and danced in the car all the way to the bar! That is where we continued to act like we were 16. Singing on stage, dancing and giggling all night. It really makes you miss the good old days. I know some people say they wouldn’t go back, but I would, in a second. Even if it was for just one day. I wouldn’t trade my kids; I would just relive my past for awhile. Wouldn’t we all love to go back, knowing what we know now, or at least be able to appreciate every moment?

I have one more week to go…sounds like a prison sentence, doesn’t it? I have tried to spread us around a little, but no matter how thin you spread us, we are still a lot for anyone. Somehow three kids seem more like five when you are traveling. They are louder and wilder in someone else’s home. They are always hungry and tired, or at least those are the excuses I use for their behavior. “They never act like this at home,” I say with my noise growing. Little do they know, my kids are always this loud and wild! LOL!

Well, wish me luck on the rest of the week. I will keep you posted with all of the “medication requiring” incidence. Good luck to all of you that are going “home” this summer.

Love your hair, love your dress, hope you win!
