In my quest to get things more organized around here, the girls and I cleaned out the buffet in the dining room. I’m sure the normal dining room buffet holds items such as china or crystal, but we store art supplies in ours! Every few months, it turns into a disastrous mess and when cleaning up from a craft, you just shove the markers, glue, or whatever onto the shelf and then shut the door as fast as you can, hoping nothing falls out! So every few months, we clean it out, toss the old masterpieces, wipe down the inside, weed out old markers, crayons and so on.

This time, we pulled out my labeler, which was just recently given to me. I absolutely love this nifty little device! I can make labels for everything and in this case, we labeled the containers. Now the girls will know exactly where to put everything! Of course, they had to take turns typing in each word and printing it. That helped them to be involved and stay focused and they love using the labeler as much as I do!

I didn’t think to take a before picture, but now that I’m sharing what works for me, I’ll show an after picture. We’ve also used these labels for my spice rack (homemade), the medicine cabinet and the laundry room.
