It’s a brand new day!

It is April 9, 2008 and in a sense, this is the first day of the rest of my life. Sorry for the tinge of drama, but as you get to know me, you will discover that is “ME.”
I have decided to change my life starting RIGHT NOW and what better way then to commit to it with my first blog ever. I feel like if I do it this way, then there is NO turning back.
My new motto, “Just get it done!” Not to be mistaken for the Cable Guy. I just want to adapt a new attitude. I, like many of you am a SAHM. I have 3 beautiful children and most of the time, a great Husband. But I have fallen into the rut of being home all day. Did I brush my teeth? Did I put on deodorant? You know, mindless things that we forget to do when only the kids are going to notice. I am tired of that! I always wanted to be home with my kids and now that my dreams have come true I am not acting like the luckiest girl in the world. So, to make a long drama longer…it is all about to change. My goal is to complete the tasks I set for myself on a daily basis. That might sound small to you “doers” but it is huge to me. I do believe that I have become the “Queen of Procrastination!”
So maybe if there are any of you like me out there, we can do this together. I am going to start with a “one room a day” goal. I mean top to bottom, not just hit and miss. If any of you are familiar with Flylady.com, then start flying! If not, just come with me and we will do this together.
Pick your favorite room, you know the one that gives you the most satisfaction when it is sparkling. For me it is the kitchen. Set a timer for 15 minutes for each job that needs to be accomplished and GO! I am going to organize my fridge, drawers and cabinets. Wipe down all appliances and the cabinet doors. Clean under and behind the fridge and don’t forget the pantry. Put things in categories. This is all easy, but dreaded things that need to be done. I am no expert, but maybe if we do it together it will be easier and a little more challenging. Feel free to leave comments and accomplishments here, as well as great tips and ideas.
This is the time for change! With the economy the way it is, we have to have something to hold on to. Why not make your home and life a happier place to be? Kinda gives you hope doesn’t it?
Love your hair, love your dress, hope you win!
